Olmedo, the walled town of Lope de Vega's knight, looks out over the pine forests of the south-east of the province, an area of small, scattered villages. Public transport is thin, and for hospital visits or trains almost everything goes through the capital or Medina del Campo.

From Olmedo the route heads south to the A-6, towards Arévalo and Adanero, and continues to Madrid on the AP-6 or the road over the pass. Barajas is on the far side of the capital, via the M-40 or M-50.

Villanubla has very few flights, so from Valladolid province almost every air trip starts at Barajas. For early flights no train arrives in time, and a car from home avoids spending the night before in Madrid.

When demand peaks

• Holy Week in Valladolid (Easter week): Valladolid's processions, with Gregorio Fernández's carvings and of international tourist interest, fill the centre and close many streets, especially on Good Friday. They coincide with holiday departures to Barajas, so it pays to book early and set the pickup outside the procession routes.

Tip: In winter fog is common on the Valladolid plateau, especially in the morning: for an early flight or train it is worth bringing the pickup forward.

Airport pickup

For arrivals, the driver waits in the terminal with a name sign and helps with your luggage. We track the flight number, so a delay costs nothing extra within the terminal’s complimentary waiting time.

For early flights

We recommend leaving Olmedo at least 150 minutes before you want to be at the check-in desk. We operate through the night, always with an advance booking.
